What did I do in Sydney?
(A report when I am still on the Koala continent, but again, penniless)

1. Went to sit in 2 sessions of the conference, which is less than I expected. Sorry, too tired and never had the mood to. Yet, I did get something, especially from the speaker from Cambridge. Scholars always do something trivial and make a big fuss out of it. He talked about... revolving doors. Interesting.

2. Went to see Francois Ozon's new film (since when did I repel this name?), Angel. The ticket was very expensive. I saw it at an Art House cinema in Newtown, which is near The University of Sydney. As for the film, my comment is: what the fuck. It's so different from the Ozon I liked. Even I do realize that he is paying tribute to Douglas Sirk and the genre of melodrama, but what' the point of making this film? I don't see why.

3. Went to see the musical of Billy Elliot. Quite touching!

4. Bought some books, as expected.

5. Bought something from Aesop, as expected.

6. Went to the casino and lost some money - all because I did not wear green and the whole plan was an ad-hoc.

7. Kept changing hotels. I will check into the last hotel of the trip, which is the most expected one.

8. Kept missing someone and thinking a lot.

9. Tried to revise my thesis, but I am totally bored by what I've written.

10. Visited the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA), which is now feature an interesting works on 'double body' by a local artist.

That's all for now. Pictures to be uploaded later here, at friendster and facebook.
